The Surprising Truth Being Broke
Hi,
I want to share something I’ve learned the hard way—something I wish someone had told me years ago.
Being broke can feel like the ultimate problem. You think if you just get your finances in order if you finally hit that goal of “financial freedom,” all your problems will vanish. Life will be perfect. But here’s the truth:
Getting financially free won’t magically fix your life.
I used to believe it was the key to happiness. I obsessed over the dream of escaping the struggle, thinking once I reached it, everything would fall into place. And I did it—I reached the goal. But instead of feeling fulfilled, I felt emptier than ever.
You see, the money didn’t fix me. It didn’t solve the deeper questions I had about my life, my purpose, or who I wanted to be. The emptiness was still there, and I started filling it with quick fixes—buying expensive things, using drugs and alcohol, having meaningless sex, traveling, and partying every weekend.
For a moment, I felt like I was living the dream. But once the excitement faded, I was left with a question I couldn’t escape: Is this it?
I had chased a goal I thought I wanted, only to find out it wasn’t the answer.
But here’s where the story changes. I realized the fix wasn’t in more money, more stuff, or more distractions. The long-term fix came from something deeper—figuring out what truly matters, focusing on growth, connection, and meaning.
So, if you’re broke and not fulfilled right now, maybe that’s not the curse you think it is. It’s an opportunity to ask yourself the big questions before you reach the point I did.
What kind of life are you building? Are your goals truly yours, or are you chasing what others tell you to?
Being broke blinds you from finding the meaning beyond money. And that’s something no amount of wealth can buy.

To your growth,
